Bobi Klintman Invitational – International Youth Basketball Tournament in Sweden
The Bobi Klintman Invitational is an annual international basketball tournament held in Trelleborg, Sweden. The tournament welcomes boys’ teams in the U13 to U19 age groups from around the world. Over three days, the teams compete in a group-stage format, with the groups determined by a draw.
Teams are welcome to apply for participation, but the final selection of invited teams is made by the tournament organizers to ensure a high-quality international event.
The tournament is named after Bobi Klintman, one of Sweden’s leading basketball players. Born in Malmö 2003, he developed through the Trelleborg Pirates youth program before continuing his career at the highest level. Bobi has represented Sweden’s national team, played in the NBA for the Detroit Pistons, and currently plays for Italian club Virtus Bologna. Standing 206 cm tall, he plays as a small forward.
TOURNAMENT 2026
The 2026 edition of the Bobi Klintman Invitational brought together 40 teams from eight different countries: Sweden, Denmark, England, Ireland, Turkey, Germany, Spain and Norway. Over three exciting days, players competed in a high-level international environment, showcasing skill, determination and outstanding sportsmanship.The tournament once again confirmed its position as one of Sweden’s leading international youth basketball events. Bringing together clubs from different basketball cultures created exciting matchups, new friendships and unforgettable memories both on and off the court.A big thank you to all participating teams, coaches, referees, volunteers, sponsors and supporters who made the 2026 tournament another great success. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the next edition of the Bobi Klintman Invitational.
Looking Ahead
Preparations for the next edition of the Bobi Klintman Invitational begin long before the opening tip-off. Invitations are sent to selected clubs, schedules are prepared and volunteers work together to create the best possible experience for players, coaches and supporters.
The ambition is to continue developing the tournament while maintaining the qualities that have made it successful: strong international competition, excellent organisation and a welcoming atmosphere for everyone involved. Each new edition builds on the previous one, helping the Bobi Klintman Invitational grow while remaining true to its original vision of bringing talented young basketball players together in Trelleborg.
We look forward to welcoming returning teams as well as new clubs from around the world for another memorable weekend of international youth basketball.

The Story behind the Bobi Klintman Invitational
Since its start, the Bobi Klintman Invitational has grown into one of Sweden’s most recognized international youth basketball tournaments. Every summer, teams from several countries travel to Trelleborg to compete against strong opposition and experience international basketball in a professional environment.
The tournament reflects Bobi Klintman’s own journey from the Trelleborg Pirates youth program to the Swedish national team, the NBA and European professional basketball. It aims to inspire the next generation of players by giving them the opportunity to compete at a high level while creating friendships across borders.
Each year, the tournament welcomes invited clubs representing different basketball cultures and playing styles. The combination of international competition, experienced referees and committed volunteers has made the Bobi Klintman Invitational a popular destination for ambitious youth teams.
